Description
Jazz Guitar Solo Composition 3 is the 3rd in a series of studies which examine various methods of approaching jazz guitar solo composition. The chord progression is analyzed from a chord scale approach and from a modal approach. Those ideas are then reworked while incorporating chromatics. Page 14 is an exercise for the student to put to use the composition techniques. There is an opportunity for students to play their compositions along with music on the recording.
