What Is An Intermediate Guitar Player
The answer to question, “What is an intermediate guitar player?” is subjective. However, here are some general guidelines to help you decide if you are in the vicinity.
Intermediate
A guitar player that has played for awhile, and would be considered an intermediate player, will know things like this:
-
They will know the name of all of the notes on their guitar
-
They will know Major chords, minor chords, Major 7 chords, dominant 7 chords, and a few of theĀ altered chords such as sus2
-
They will know the minor pentatonic scale, but not necessarily in every position
-
They will know the Major Scale
-
They will have been exposed to the Cage system and be working on memorizing those patterns
-
They can read a little bit of notation, but probably struggle with it.
-
Their timing is getting better, but still needs work
-
They can solo a little bit, but are not satisfied their chops yet
The list above is a general guideline. If the above description sounds like you, you are near a level 5 as that relates to the studies offered through JSI Guitar.
Start with Bundle 3 or Bundle 4 if you are not familiar with some of the above.
Start with Bundle 5 if the above description sounds exactly like you.
